This sweet Indian inspired bridal shoot comprises a few of the best shots to have as a bride. Photographer Kyle Goldie of Luma Weddings took on the style of simple, yet elegant bridal poses that South Asian brides will love. We’ve previously covered wedding poses to steal for your own wedding, but hey, you can never get enough mehndi photos!
Full length bridal photo in a horizontal crop
Namaste photo with the bride’s face out of focus
Mang tikka in focus, bride’s face and eyelashes and outfit out of focus
Bride’s head half covered with chunni (this style can be done many ways!)
Natural look of the bride touching her face – notice how she gently touches her face and doesn’t look at the camera. It’s like she’s smiling and thinking at the same time while the photo looks entirely unposed.
Covered with a chunni, looking off to one side (away from the camera)
Close up of hands, crossed over the body. This gives a great bokeh look in the background because the outfit glitters.
Mehndi palms of hands with bangles – this shot can be done in different types of close-ups: just hands, hands + bangles, three-quarter arm, etc. Get a variety of these shots!
Top of hands henna photo – not to be forgotten and can be shot in a variety of ways as well.
Pensive full length vertical shot – Don’t forget to get photos of your full wedding outfit with just you in the photo.
These are just a few inspirational photos to have in your wedding collection, so use this as a base and let you and your photographer’s imagination, run wild.
