Today we are bringing you a gorgeous, artsy wedding straight from India! World-famous artist Adarsh Alphons (seriously, his work has been commissioned for popes and kings) married his equally artsy bride Bridget. You’ll appreciate these photos even more once you hear the story behind them too…
Lilypad Agency photojournalist Lung Liu (and Bridget and Adarsh’s photographer!) was caught in a Canadian mudslide and stranded for two days. He managed to hike through a flood for 30 miles using only rope and a bicycle light to guide his way. He then got on a 24-hour flight to India to shoot these spectacular photos. Crazy story, am I right?!
Bridget and Adarsh had many traditional elements to their wedding but also had some not-so-traditional elements like matching Converses for the groomsmen and a laid-back, post-ceremony poolside party at the Aveda Kumarakom. I love the photo of Bridget in her bathing suit with her bridal hair, the perfect juxtaposition of elegant formalness and wild informalness.
Congratulations to you both, Adarsh and Bridget! May you have many happy memories ahead.
