The Pakistani Bridal Couture week just wrapped up in Karachi, Pakistan and as usual, it was spectacular. Last year, we covered the major designers from Fahad Hussayn to Nomi Ansari to uber lux The House of Kamiar Rokni. This year we will be covering our favorite wedding outfits from all the designers under one piece.
HSY went for an elegant, bridal look with shararas all in white, cream, and silver. It was heavenly.
Yasmin Zaman’s red lengha is an ode to the South Asian heritage that we all share. While a Pakistani bride may not be caught showing off her belly at her wedding, this bridal red lengha is the piece for an Indian bride.
Deepak Perwani created a Mughal influenced sharara in dark blues and golds. The mang tikka hung like queen and the brocade work was truly stunning.
Noman Arfeen’s collection was classic spring inspiration. Shararas and anarkalis in peach, white, and champagne, while the men wore all monochromatic pastel colors. It was simple yet luxurious.
This bold and royal outfit was taken to the next level with a huge pair of jhumka style earrings. They almost look like a pair of kalires pulled off to make the earrings.
I feel like running through an English garden with this sharara. In muted shades of blue, the dress is livened with red, orange, and green embroidered flowers.
Overall, Pakistan fashion week showcases so many different styles and cultures. Blending in Indian saris and lenghas or Chinese jackets, the Pakistan bridal couture week is really at the crossroads of Asian fashion. So much to fall in love with.
